Unique Birthday Gifts from a Little Girl

As many five year old little girls sit and play with their dolls, one five year old is thinking about world hunger. For her fifth birthday Isabel asked for food instead of gifts. Without a doubt, birthday guests were stunned by the unique birthday gifts that lined the table. In all, 75 pounds of food had been donated in the name of Isabel. All of which was donated to Hopelink, a local food shelter.

Thanks to her mother, Isabel was able to understand the concept of people going without food. Isabel's mother showed her their full pantry and explained how some people go to their panty and do not find it stocked with canned goods, pasta, and cookies. For some, there is nothing. Isabel was so moved by this new found realization she was more than happy to do something for some one else, even though it happened to be her birthday.
